R. S. Hill 1986Leaves entire-margined, hypostomatic. Stomata paracytic with cuticular scales between the embedded guard cells and the overarching subsidiary cells. Stomatal opening on the outer cuticular surface slit-like, with overarching cuticular scales. Secretory cells with a thin cuticular membrane sometimes present.
