Hydrangea californica

Hydrangea californica was named by MacGinitie (1941). Its type specimen is U.C. Mus. Pal. Paleobot. Ser. cotypes nos. 2217, 2218. Its type locality is Chalk Bluff Locality 3345, which is in an Eocene floodplain claystone in California.
