Macginitiea whitneyi

Taxonomy
Aralia whitneyi was named by Lesquereux (1878). Its type specimen is U.C. Mus. Pal. Paleobot. Ser. plesiotypes nos. 2229, 2230, 2231, 2232, 2233, 223 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Platanophyllum whitneyi by MacGinitie (1941); it was recombined as Macginitiea whitneyi by Manchester (1986).
