Asclepiadites laterita

Taxonomy
Asclepiadites laterita was named by MacGinitie (1941). It is not extant. Its type specimen is U.C. Mus. Pal. Paleobot. Ser. holotype no. 2330. Its type locality is UCMP loc. P3345, Chalk Bluff, which is in an Eocene floodplain claystone in California. It is the type species of Asclepiadites.
