Nemegtosaurus mongoliensis

Taxonomy
Nemegtosaurus mongoliensis was named by Nowinski (1971). Its type specimen is ZPAL MgD-I/9, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nemegt, Central Sayr, site 6 [PMPE], which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial sandstone/conglomerate in the Nemegt Formation of Mongolia. It was considered monophyletic by Maryanska (2000).
