Manchester 2014: There is a good possibility the "Carya" antiquorum coincides with the plant that produced Juglandicarya simplicarpa fruits.

Carya antiquorum was named by Newberry (1868) [Carya antiquorum Newberry, 1868, p. 72. 1898, p. 35, Pl. 31, figs. 1-4.]. It is not extant.
