The Angiosperm Phylogeny Group 2016 | To make the name Asphodelaceae available for use when this family in the strict sense is combined with Xanthorrhoeaceae, conservation of Asphodelaceae was proposed (Klopper, Smith & van Wyk, 2013) and approved by the Nomenclature Committee for Vascular Plants (Applequist, 2014). This action will restore the priority of Asphodelaceae over Xanthorrhoeaceae as soon as conservation is approved by the General Committee and then the Nomenclature Section of the XIX International Botanical Congress in Shenzhen, 2017. |
