Taxonomy
Lytvophyllum was named by Dobrolyubova (1941) [Sepkoski's age data: C Bash-l P Leon-l Sepkoski's reference number: 163]. It is not extant. Its type is Thysanophyllum tschernowi.

It was synonymized subjectively with Dorlodotia by Hill (1956).

It was assigned to Rugosa by Sepkoski (2002); and to Petalaxidae by Hill (1981) and Fedorowski et al. (2007).
