Taxonomy
Phyllopteroides was named by Cantrill and Webb (1987) [(Medwell) emend. Cantrill and Webb, 1987 Type species: Phyllopteroides dentata (Medwell) Cantrill and Webb from the Early Cretaceous (Albian), southeastern Australia.]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Osmundaceae by McLoughlin et al. (1995).
