Lophostropheus airelensis

Taxonomy
Liliensternus airelensis was named by Cuny and Galton (1993). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Caen University unnumbered. Its type locality is Airel Quarry, which is in a Rhaetian/Hettangian marginal marine claystone/limestone in the Moon-Airel Formation of France.

It was recombined as Lophostropheus airelensis by Ezcurra and Cuny (2007), Langer et al. (2010), Delsate and Ezcurra (2014) and Martill et al. (2016).
