Omeisaurus changshouensis

Taxonomy
Omeisaurus changshouensis was named by Young (1958). Its type specimen is IVPP V.930, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Moutzenhan (IVPP), which is in a Bathonian/Callovian terrestrial shale/sandstone in the Shaximiao Formation of China.

It was recombined as Mamenchisaurus changshouensis by Zhang and Chen (1996); it was synonymized subjectively with Omeisaurus junghsiensis by Martin-Rolland (1999); it was considered a nomen dubium by Upchurch et al. (2004).
