Taxonomy
Mamenchisaurus sinocanadorum was named by Russell and Zheng (1994). Its type specimen is IVPP V10603. Its type locality is east of Qitai-Ertai road, which is in an Oxfordian coarse channel fill sandstone/siltstone in the Shishugou Formation of China.
