Ptyctodopsis menzeli
Taxonomy
Ptyctodopsis menzeli was named by Denison (1985). Its type specimen is SUI 33860, a partial skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Pint's Quarry, which is in a Givetian carbonate dolomite in the Cedar Valley Formation of Iowa. It is the type species of Ptyctodopsis.
