Taxonomy
Aloposaurus gracilis was named by Broom (1910). Its type specimen is AMNH 5317, a partial skull (Incomplete and crushed skull), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kuilspoort, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial horizon in South Africa.
