Lophocyon carpathicus
Taxonomy
Lophocyon carpathicus was named by Fejfar et al. (1987). Its type specimen is KB 1979-103, left hemi-mandible of a juvenile, a mandible. Its type locality is Magnesite Quarry Kosice Bankov Banisko, near Kosice, year 1979, which is in a Serravallian fissure fill sandstone in Slovakia.
