Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
R. J. Duncan et al. 2021Small-bodied neornithischian characterized by the combination of the following features: (1) Maxilla with anteroposteriorly stout, mediolaterally expanded premaxillary process; (2) Maxilla with posterior third out-turned laterally (also seen in large individuals of Galleonosaurus dorisae [Herne et al., 2019]); (3) Maxilla with as many as 15 alveoli, showing broad size disparity between largest and smallest alveolus (i.e., largest alveoli near midpoint of toothrow, smallest at mesial and distal ends); (4) Maxillary tooth crowns with mesially located, v-shaped cingular vertex (Herne et al., 2019); 5, Maxillary tooth crowns with well-developed apicobasal ridges on both labial and lingual surfaces (modified from Rich and Rich, 1989); 6, Maxillary tooth crowns with large labial secondary ridges that are similar in prominence to the primary ridge (modified from Rich and Rich, 1989); 7, Maxillary tooth crowns with only one labial secondary ridge distal to the primary ridge (contrasting with similarly sized Galleonosaurus dorisae [two secondary ridges] and Atlascopcosaurus loadsi [five] exemplars [modified from Herne et al., 2019]); 8, Maxillary teeth with three labial secondary ridges mesial to primary ridge (contrasting with similarly sized Galleonosaurus dorisae [four secondary ridges] and Atlascopcosaurus loadsi [six] exemplars [modified from Herne et al., 2019]).
