Eohyrax platyodus

Taxonomy
Eohyrax platyodus was named by Ameghino (1904) [The type is a lectotype, as designated by Simpson (1967)]. Its type specimen is MACN A10908e, left m1, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mustersan of Patagonia, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in Argentina.
