Taxonomy
Pseudoltinomys was named by Lavocat (1951). It is not extant. Its type is Pseudoltinomys gaillardi.

It was assigned to Theridomyidae by de Bruijn et al. (1979); and to Issiodoromyinae by Peláez-Campomanes (1996).
