Barunlestes butleri
Taxonomy
Barunlestes butleri was named by Kielan-Jaworowska (1975). Its type specimen is ZPal MgM-I/77, a partial skeleton (damaged skull with both dentaries and a large part of the postcranial skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Khulsan (general) [PMPE], which is in a Campanian/Campanian eolian sandstone/sandstone in the Baruungoyot Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Barunlestes.
