Taxonomy
Zangerlia testudinimorpha was named by Mlynarski (1972). Its type specimen is ZPal MgCh/72 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nemegt, Southern Monadnocks (PMPE), which is in a Campanian/Campanian terrestrial horizon in the Baruungoyot Formation of Mongolia.
