Taxonomy
Kennalestes gobiensis was named by Kielan-Jaworowska (1968). Its type specimen is ZPal MgM-I/3. Its type locality is Bayn Dzak [PMPE], which is in a Campanian terrestrial sandstone in the Djadokhta Formation of Mongolia.
