Boreogomphodon jeffersoni
Taxonomy
Boreogomphodon jeffersoni was named by Sues and Olsen (1990). Its type specimen is USNM 437632, a maxilla, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tomahawk locality, USNM 39981, which is in a Carnian lacustrine - small mudstone in the Vinita Formation of Virginia. It is the type species of Boreogomphodon.
