Microchoerus erinaceus

Taxonomy
Microchoerus erinaceus was named by Wood (1844). Its type specimen is B.M. 25229, a skull (cranium and imperfect left ramus of the mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hordle Cliff Crocodile Bed, Hampshire, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial sandstone/claystone in the Headon Beds Formation of the United Kingdom.
