Taxonomy
Bulimorpha was named by Whitfield (1882) [Sepkoski's age data: C Vise C Mosc-l Sepkoski's reference number: 1,797,1258]. It is not extant. Its type is Bulimella bulimiformis.

It was reranked as Soleniscus (Bulimorpha) by Knight (1931).

It was assigned to Bulimorphidae by Miller (1889); to Soleniscus by Knight (1931); to Subulitinae by Knight et al. (1960); to Neotaenioglossa by Sepkoski (2002); to Subulitidae by Bouchet et al. (2005); and to Soleniscidae by Nützel et al. (2000), Bandel (2002) and Mazaev (2015).
