Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria halei was named by Hall (1867). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Euomphalopterus halei by Whiteaves (1889) and Northrop (1939); it was recombined as Eotomaria halei by Clarke and Ruedemann (1903); it was recombined as Prosolarium halei by Wagner (1999) and Wagner (2023).
