Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria laqueata was named by Lindström (1884). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Lophospira laqueata by Ulrich and Scofield (1897); it was recombined as Longstaffia laqueata by Wagner (1999) and Wagner (2017).
