Anthracotherium crassum
Taxonomy
Anthracotherium crassum was named by Pilgrim and Cotter (1916). Its type specimen is GSA B615, a maxilla (left maxillary fragment with M2-3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pakokku District, Pondaung Sandstone, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial sandstone/siliciclastic in the Pondaung Formation of Myanmar.
It was recombined as Anthracothema crassum by Pilgrim (1928).
