Coelostylodon caroloameghinoi

Taxonomy
Coelostylodon caroloameghinoi was named by Simpson (1970). Its type specimen is MACN 10753, a maxilla (poorly preserved anterior part of skull), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Barranca south of Lago Colhue-Huapi, Gran Barranca, which is in an Eocene terrestrial claystone in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Simpson (1948).
