Eutrephoceras haltomi was named by Aldrich (1931) [DISTRIBUTION: Paleocene; Gulf Coastal Plain.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Cimomia haltomi by Miller and Thompson (1933), Stenzel (1942) and Miller (1947).
