Taxonomy
Amynodon sinensis was named by Zdansky (1930) [The type is from China and is (or was) stored in the paleontological institute of the university of Upsala, Sweden.]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Sianodon sinensis by Chow and Xu (1965).
