Taxonomy
Hyaenodon yuanchuensis was named by Young (1937) [Type: fragmentary lower jaw; fossil from China.]. Its type locality is Heti Formation F 10b, which is in a Sharamurunian terrestrial horizon in the Heti Formation of China.
