Pseudowannerophyllum was named by Flügel (1975) [Sepkoski's age data: C Bash-l]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Verbeekiellidae by Hill (1981); to Lophophyllidiidae by Fedorowski (1987); and to Rugosa by Sepkoski (2002).
