Trochonema (Pleurotomaria) pauper was named by Hall (1867). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Cyclonema pauper by Hall (1868) and Hall (1868); it was recombined as Gyronema pauper by Stearn (1956); it was recombined as Oriostoma pauper by Wagner (2023).
