Taxonomy
Euomphalus devexus was named by d'Eichwald (1859). It is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Pachystrophia.

It was recombined as Lesueurilla devexa by Rõõmusoks (1970); it was recombined as Pachystrophia devexa by Perner (1903), Koken and Perner (1925), Knight (1941), Vostokova (1955), Rohr (1980), Wagner (1999), Rohr and Measures (2001) and Wagner (2023).
