Lophonema peccatonica

Taxonomy
Helicotoma peccatonica was named by Sardeson (1896). It is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Lophonema.

It was recombined as Polhemia peccatonica by Cullison (1944); it was recombined as Lophonema peccatonica by Purdue and Miser (1916) and Wagner (2023).
