Taxonomy
Araeonema microspirulata was named by Yoo (1994). Its type locality is Marohn Homestead. Yoo Loc. A4. 70 m west of Scone-Gundy road junction, which is in a Tournaisian marine mudstone in the Dangarfield Formation of Australia.
