Taxonomy
Hudiesaurus sinojapanorum was named by Dong (1997). Its type specimen is IVPP V.11120, a set of postcrania, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is IVPP 93008-2, Turpan, which is in a Jurassic terrestrial horizon in the Kalazha Formation of China.
