Herrerasaurus ischigualastensis

Taxonomy
Herrerasaurus ischigualastensis was named by Reig (1963). Its type specimen is PVL 2566, a partial skeleton, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Aguada de la Peña, Ischigualasto (PVL 2556), which is in a Carnian terrestrial horizon in the Ischigualasto Formation of Argentina.
