Bulla cylindrica was named by Helbling (1779) [m. kosnik taxon no: 10263]. It is extant. It is the type species of Aliculastrum.
It was recombined as Aliculastrum cylindricum by Rippingale and McMichael (1961), Kosnik (2002) and Harzhauser et al. (2009).
