Taxonomy
Arca ferruginea was named by Reeve (1844) [m. kosnik taxon no: 9709]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Anadara (Anadara) ferruginea by Dheeradilok et al. (1984) and Skwarko (1994); it was recombined as Anadara (Cunearca) ferruginea by Rosenberg et al. (2006).
