Sochkineophyllum was named by Grabau (1928) [Sepkoski's age data: C Mosc P Leon-m]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Polycoeliinae by Hill (1956); to Polycoeliidae by Fedorowski and Bamber (2001); and to Rugosa by Sepkoski (2002).
