J. Gründel and A. Nützel 2012 | The protoconch is trans- to medioaxial. The shell shape varies from broad to slender oval. The whorls are convex. The shell ornament varies from smooth to distinctly ornamented. The ramp varies from being distinct to absent. The whorls embrace distinctly below the suture or ramp. The aperture is distinctly higher than wide but lower than those of Acteoninidae and Cylindrobullinidae. It is comparatively wide, drop-shaped with a broad and rounded abapical end and lacks columellar folds. |
