It was assigned to Gastropoda by Turner (1938); to Mesogastropoda by Addicott (1970); to Cymatiacea by Hickman (1980); to Tonnacea by Squires (1984); to Neptunellininae by Ponder and Warén (1988); and to Tonnoidea by Harzhauser (2002).
