Taxonomy
Diceratidae was named by Dall (1895) [m. kosnik taxon no: 5024]. It was considered paraphyletic by Skelton (2013).

It was assigned to Hippuritacea by Newell (1965) and Vokes (1980); to Diceratoidea by Nevesskaja (2009); and to Radiolitoidea by Bouchet et al. (2010), Carter et al. (2011) and Skelton (2013).
