Taxonomy
Natica hannibali was named by Dickerson (1914) [m. kosnik taxon no: 10085]. Its type specimen is CAS 243, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Globularia hannibali by Stewart (1927); it was recombined as Ampulina hannibali by Hanna (1927); it was recombined as Cernina (Eocernina) hannibali by Turner (1938); it was recombined as Eocernina hannibali by Marincovich (1977), Zinsmeister (1983), Squires (1984), Squires (1987), Squires (1988) and Squires and Demetrion (1992).
