Euspira jacksonensis was named by Harris and Palmer (1947) [m. kosnik taxon no: 6689]. Its type specimen is PRI 4517, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is PRI 785, which is in a Bartonian marine sandstone in the Moodys Branch Formation of Mississippi.
