Taxonomy
Glycimeris microsulci was named by Wade (1926) [m. kosnik taxon no: 7159]. Its type locality is Dave Weeks place, Coon Creek, which is in a Campanian coastal sandstone in the Ripley Formation of Tennessee.

It was recombined as Glycymeris microsulci by Wade (1926) and Kosnik (2002).
