Taxonomy
Gyrodes (Sohlella) yolensis was named by Popenoe et al. (1987) [m. kosnik taxon no: 9656]. Its type specimen is CAS 61401 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS loc. 31918, Thompson Creek, which is in a Turonian marine horizon in the Yolo Formation of California.
