R.C. Baron-Szabo 2021 | Colonial, massive; cerioid to submeandroid; budding intracalicular. Septa compact, nonconfluent, covered by fine granules laterally; axial ends of septa have enlarged, apophysis-like teeth; Lonsdaleoid septa present.
One more dominant septum generally present. Columella styliform initially, becoming lamellar in later ontogenetic stages, or absent in some corallites. Endothecal dissepiments vesicular in the peripheral areas of corallite, becoming more cellular toward corallite center. No pali, no synapticulae. Intertrabecular distance ranging between 80 and 180 μm in septa. Wall septothecal, compact. |
