Taxonomy
Microdomatacea was named by Wenz (1938) [m. kosnik taxon no: 10034]. It is not extant.
It was synonymized subjectively with Trochacea by Erwin (1988); it was corrected as Microdomatoidea by Golikov and Starobogatov (1975), Kosnik (2002) and Jeffery (2003).
It was assigned to Trochina by Knight et al. (1960); to Anisobranchia by Golikov and Starobogatov (1975); and to Vetigastropoda by Kosnik (2002) and Jeffery (2003).
It was synonymized subjectively with Trochacea by Erwin (1988); it was corrected as Microdomatoidea by Golikov and Starobogatov (1975), Kosnik (2002) and Jeffery (2003).
